Calculation wind coefficients of mathematical ship models

To improve the mathematical model of the estuary container vessel Tripoli, a new set of wind coefficients was computed using the Computational Fluid Dynamics software FINE™/Marine. CFD_3.jpgFor thirteen relative wind directions (with a difference of 15 degrees between successive wind directions), grids were generated and computations were executed. The new set of wind coefficients (with 10 degree increment), was obtained by cubic spline interpolation.CFD_5.jpg
