Stakeholders from various maritime and inland navigation sectors were invited to reflect on autonomous navigation and the impact on ships on the one hand and on infrastructure and operations in ports and waterways on the other hand. The evolution towards Home sweet home: arrival of towing carriage at FML Friday 26/08/2022 Our 23.5-metre-long towing carriage arrived at Flanders Maritime Laboratory (FML). Looking forward to start operations and perform manoeuvring tests in our dedicated shallow water tank. But first things first, let's get the installation done! This towing tank will greatly expand the research capability of the industry and strengthen our research capabilities through the knowledge 6th MASHCON conference took place Thursday 23/06/2022 The 6th MASHCON conference took place from 22 to 26 May 2022. After editions paying special attention to bank effects (Antwerp, 2009), ship – ship interaction (Trondheim, 2011), lock effects (Ghent, 2013), ship – bottom interaction (Hamburg, 2016) and wind, waves and current (Ostend, 2019), special attention was paid to port manoeuvres. The conference was hybrid and hosted by the University of 30 peer-reviewed papers Friday 20/05/2022 About 30 peer-reviewed papers are expected to be presented at the 6th MASHCON conference, which will be held at the Technology & Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, from 22 to 26 May 2022. The conference will have a non-exclusive focus on port manoeuvres, but a large number of papers dealing with other aspects related to manoeuvring in shallow and confined water, such as Pages « First ‹ Previous 1 2 3 (current) 4 5 6 7 Next › Last » More news More news Fast to Waterinfo.be shallowwater.be Publications
